Crew 13 Officially Chartered

Crew 13 sponsored by the West Shore Bureau of Fire has officially been chartered.  The crew is designed for young men and women ages 14 through 20 who are interested in learning more about the fire service.

Crew members will be given the opportunity to explore various aspects of firefighting through monthly training and activities.  Those members of the crew that are also registered with the fire company may also respond to emergencies and perform age appropriate duties based on their training level.

During the preliminary meeting, the youth members have selected to create activities such as learning about first aid, running a community blood drive, and visiting a FDNY firehouse.  A full calendar of events will be developed shortly and included on our crew event calendar on this page.
